Kells has provided practicum placements for many Masters and Bachelor level programs including those through University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge, City University, Concordia University, Athabasca University, and more. We value giving trainees excellent support, high-quality supervision, and access to a wealth of knowledge while at Kells.

RAE Institute- Advancing Excellence in Psychology

Kells works in collaboration with Family Solutions Group and Insight Psychological to deliver comprehensive training programs through the RAE Institute:

1. Master Clinician Program

The Master Clinician Program provides clinical professionals the opportunity to expand their competencies by learning effective techniques directly from practicing, expert psychologists. For agencies who hire novice therapists, the Master Clinician Program allows organizations to offer practical, streamlined training to accelerate a clinician’s client care capacity.

2. Formal Clinical Assessment Certificate Program and PACE Certificate Program
  • RAE Institute offers two certificate streams in Formal Clinical Assessment for registered provisional and registered psychologists. The Formal Clinical Assessment Certificate program instructs participants on specialized areas of assessment, working with tools, clinical interview skills, and report writing. This certificate program includes five courses and covers 200 hours of professional continuing education.
  • The PACE Certificate program provides participants with the opportunity to gain supervised practice in assessment with guidance from senior professionals. This program includes two courses spanning eighty hours of professional continuing education. Participants who complete the two courses would be eligible to receive external supervision in formal clinical assessment.
3. Advanced Supervisor Certificate Program

Qualified supervisors are critical members of our profession. In addition to facilitating the emerging professionals ability to deliver strong clinical intervention, a supervisor sets the tone by modelling and requiring best practice in the necessary administrative practice, professional presentation and personal self care. The Advanced Supervisor Certificate Program is designed to support talented leaders who demonstrate professional excellence and are ready to develop their skills to support emerging professionals. This program is still in development with the pilot release anticipated for 2026.

Their mission: Empower mental health professionals with cutting-edge knowledge and skills to excel in their careers and transform lives.
