You Are Not Alone

October 5, 2021

I’m useless…

I’m losing it…

It’s never going to get better…

I can’t change….

It’s too late…

Do any of these thoughts sound familiar?

Life is hard. Every day can be a new challenge, and COVID does not make things easier. We want to say to the world, “I am so tired.” But, tomorrow, we have to get up and do it all over again.

When we are stuck in this tired place, we often feel completely alone. We can think to ourselves, “If only I broke my leg. At least I would have something to show for my pain.” But our struggles inside are a lot harder to show. Our pain can be invisible.

Whether you are in pain, hurting inside, or tired, I want to tell you. You are not alone.

The Canadian Mental Health Association says that 1 in 5 Canadians struggle with mental health. By the age of 40, about 50% of people were troubled by mental health.

This shows us that struggling with our mental health can happen to anyone.

The question now is, what do we do?

We can start by asking for help.

But, when it comes to our mental health, asking for help can be hard. We can struggle with feeling discouraged.

What if no one believes me?

What if I’m crazy?

What if this is permanent?

What if no one can help me?

Asking for help can be scary. Sometimes, it can be hard to see past our fears. But, sometimes, we need to be our own best friend and ask for help.

What if my struggles are real?

What if I can get better?

What if I don’t have to feel like this anymore?

What if someone can help me?

Kells Counselling is a place where we meet you where you are at. We know how hard it is to ask for help. We believe you. And we also believe that you can do it. You can feel better.

We have a team of therapists here to support you. We work with you on your goals to find a path towards wellness. We know it can be hard to take that first step. So, we will wait for your call and be here when you are ready.

Remember, you are not alone. Here at Kells Counselling, your pain is not invisible. We see you.
