Frequently Asked Questions
How long does therapy take?
The duration varies for each person. Some individuals see significant improvement in 3-7 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll work together to determine what’s right for you and regularly assess your progress.
What if medication is recommended?
While we cannot prescribe medication, we can provide information and recommendations to discuss with your doctor. Many people benefit from a combination of therapy and medication. With your consent, we can coordinate with your healthcare team to provide comprehensive support.
Will therapy really help?
Research consistently shows that therapy is highly effective for treating depression. Many clients report significant improvements in mood, functioning, and quality of life.
What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work?
Previous therapy experiences that didn’t help may have involved:
- A poor fit with the therapist
- Approaches that didn’t match your needs
- Timing that wasn’t right
- Underlying issues that weren’t addressed
Our personalized approach and expert matching process increases the likelihood of success.
Is online therapy as effective as in-person?

Many clients appreciate the convenience and flexibility of online sessions, but we suggest you choose the method you are most comfortable with.
