ADHD Assessments
Have you always wondered if you have ADHD? Come find out!
What is ADHD?
ADHD stands for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. It is a neurodevelopmental disorder of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. People with ADHD may have a hard time focusing, organizing, prioritizing, and controlling impulses. This can cause challenges at work, school, home, and/or with peers. ADHD can affect people of all ages but begins in childhood.
What is an ADHD Assessment?
An ADHD Assessment uses tests like questionnaires and computer activities to measure your attention. Your assessment results let your psychologist know if you are struggling with ADHD. Your psychologist will give you strategies to work with your ADHD at home, school, or work. They can also write a letter to your doctor so you can explore medication options for ADHD.
Purpose of an ADHD Assessment:
- Learn about ADHD and how it might be affecting your life.
- Learn ways to help you manage your ADHD.
- Learn more about yourself and feel more confident.
- Get the support and resources that you need to be successful with ADHD.
- Give you information to share with others about ADHD, like parents, teachers, co-workers, family members, and friends, so they can best support you.
